WHAT IS A HENNA PARTY?

Henna Parties are on site events where the henna artist will travel to your location and apply henna for your guests. This can be for specific events like birthday parties or a fun get together with friends!

WHAT IS HENNA / HOW DO I INFORM MY GUESTS OF WHAT HENNA IS AND HOW TO TAKE CARE OF IT?

We recommend informing guests (by directing them to our FAQ page) of what henna is and how to take care of it prior to the henna party so that everyone can be prepared. The henna artist will go over the aftercare process with guests and hand out aftercare cards they can take home too.

CAN I BOOK A PARTY WITH JAGUA INSTEAD OF HENNA?

Yes - let the henna artist know when booking if you prefer jagua to be used. There will be an additional cost for it. However jagua is not recommended for children's parties or events that are busier as it takes longer to dry (and therefore the potential for more mess ups). Jagua can also be a little more sensitive to some compared to henna so if you're unsure of any allergies or sensitivities we recommend using henna. See the jagua FAQ  >>> HERE <<<

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

The henna artist will bring all henna and aftercare required, there is no additional cost per design.

There will also be a design book for guests to choose from - or if the host allows, the guests can ask for specific design requests. The size designs in the book will be based on the length of the party booked and number of guests.

HOW MANY DESIGNS CAN BE COMPLETED?

This is the most popular question and the most difficult to give an exact answer - as this will depend on the size designs the host would like offered at the party, how long you are booking for & if there are specific design requests allowed. On average though, about 6-8 medium size designs could be completed per hour (see picture for reference). 

 

ARE THERE MULTIPLE HENNA ARTISTS?

There is only one artist available but if it's a large event and you want to hire another local artist, I'm good with that! 

 

WHAT IS THE COST?

Pricing is based on an hourly rate with a 2 hour minimum booking. Please send us a message for current rates.

DO I HAVE TO BOOK BY THE HOUR?

Nope, after 2 hours you can book in 15 minute increments (for example a party could be 2 1/2 hours or 3 hours and 45 minutes)

WHEN TO BOOK?

The earlier, the better - that way you will have the best choice of day and time. Summer is the busiest season, so those months tend to fill up quickly.
If you inquire about a specific day/time and the henna artist confirms availability or gives you alternative availability, those dates will be held for 48 hours before final confirmation is required from you. If we do not hear back after 48 hours, those days/times will reopen for others.
